Electronic Gauge Cluster

Postby SlimReaper on Tue Dec 09, 2008 7:57 pm

Hey guys! I'm looking to clean up the front end of my 79 Suzuki GS550L and get rid of these hideous gauges. I'm looking for a clean, minimal display. I was thinking a digital one, but I'm not totally sold on how that will go with the whole brat bike theme I've got going on. Anyone have experience with these or any input on how much of a PITA it will be to swap out? Prices, preferred companies, reviews, etc.
I would like to keep all the Tach, Speedo, Odo, Gear functions...I know...kinda lame...but I like 'em. Thanks!

Ok, so in my experience with the digital displays, things have not been great in AZ. The sun pretty much kills off any display that you have and the cost really isn't worth the rewards of the things that you want. You can get aftermarket gauges that cover most of your wants fairly cheap, or get smaller stock controls that are smaller and more easily hidden for your application. Stop by the shop or email me and we'll figur out the best set-up for you!
